The Thunder have been competing in the Palm Beach County area since the spring of 2000, and the 2025 spring season marks the club's 43rd season.
For their first 30 seasons, the team was associated with the National Adult Baseball League (NABA), run locally by sportscaster Lou Palmer before his passing in 2019. Palmer's league was taken over by Dave Salley, who brought the league over to the Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL/MABL).
Manager Mike Soulen has been at the helm for 43 seasons (21.5 years) and has an overall league record of 462-253-26, with a 64.10 win %.
